Photographs, 1908.

The collection consists of six three by four inch black and white original photographic prints and five three and one half by six inch original negatives said to be taken of members of the Scripps Family in 1908. The images were originally contained in two envelopes. Both have a printed return address, "Harold A. Taylor Co. 1070 Fifth Avenue, San Diego (Old Marston Building) and Hotel Del Coronado, California." One envelope is marked in pencil, "No. 1972. Scripps. Annie Scripps." The original prints are identified on the verso in pencil. Identifications are often first name only, but include references to Ada Carter, daughter of James and Clara Carter, Emma Carter and Uncle Marsden. The photographs show family groups outside a stone building, a family group at the beach, and a group at a wooden cross. The images also include two native American women holding baskets.
